Google Applied Digital Skills: Create a Flyer for a Juneteenth Celebration

CPL's African American Heritage Committee (AAHC)  is celebrating “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.” 

Every culture and tradition have celebrations that mark important events. In Create a Flyer for a Juneteenth Celebration, you will learn about Juneteenth cultural traditions important to the Black community on the Google Arts & Culture website. Then, you will plan a Juneteenth celebration in Google Drawings.

You will learn and practice the following digital skills:

  • Create and format a document and drawing
  • Make a bulleted list
  • Add text to a document and drawing
  • Add visual elements to a drawing

Participants must have a Gmail account. Once the lesson is finished, attendees will receive a Certification of Completion.

How to Attend:
This event takes place on Zoom. Register at least 24 hours before the event. Only one registration per household is needed. You’ll receive an email with a link to the secure Zoom meeting about 24 hours before the meeting. By registering for this event, you agree to abide by the Library Use Guidelines.
