Adult Book Discussion: Looking for Lorraine

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Celebrate Pride Month and Juneteenth as Legler Regional Library discusses Looking for Lorraine by Imani Perry - the powerful biography of Lorraine Hansberry.

In public she was the dignified, articulate civil rights spokeswoman and author of the groundbreaking 1959 play A Raisin in the Sun. In private, she struggled to reconcile her marriage with a string of lesbian relationships and a lively gay social life.

Copies of the book are available for checkout at Legler Regional Library. Please ask staff for a copy.
