In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Lozano Branch will be hosting a Positive Vibes poetry sharing session for “Poem in Your Pocket” Day. Need some inspiration? The Academy of American Poets provides links to poems to explore and ideas for sharing poetry throughout the month of April. You may also want to explore the Poetry Foundation's collection of U.S. Latinx Voices in Poetry, which was recently updated in March 2021.
Join us to share a poem that inspires you or just makes you feel good. It could be a poem that you wrote, or one that you discovered and would like to share with others. How does the poem make you feel? When did you create or discover it?
We will have grab-n-go kits available at the Lozano Branch prior to the event, which include pocket journals and some suggested resources for poetry discovery (while supplies last).
For Teens and Adults.
