If you have clothes that are wearing thin, never fear: darning is a simple way to re-weave garments with fresh color and texture while prolonging their life at the same time! Emma will demonstrate how to use colorful reused threads to repair holes and thin spots in fabric, with a focus on creative expression and visual embellishment.
This program is led by Emma Percy, a queer eco-artist based in Addison County, Vermont. Their work focuses on building reciprocal relationships to the living world, and they specialize in fiber arts, book arts, and self-publishing. They are passionate about creative reuse and developing artistic practices that support the environment and people's well-being.
