The Lunch 'N Books Club: Where The Crawdad Sings

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Description

Join the Humboldt Park Branch's Lunch N' Books Club for a discussion of Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So when the popular guy from Barkley Cove, Chase Andrews is found dead; the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. She has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the creatures that dwell in the Marsh. As years pass, the time comes when Kya yearns to be touched and loved and meets two young men from town whom become intrigued by her wild beauty.  It is when Kya starts to open herself to a new life filled with possibilities–when the unthinkable happens.
