In this workshop with Maker-in-Residence Katelyn Patton, we will discuss the significance of native plants, what plants can be found in Chicago and discuss ways of observing and engaging with nature. Participants will then learn the steps for creating a paper native New England Aster flower. Supplies needed: Purple crepe paper, yellow crepe paper, green crepe paper, wire, scissors, hot glue or white glue.
