Tween Book Club- Sal & Gabi Break the Universe

3:00 PM – 3:45 PM

Description

How did a raw chicken get inside Yasmany's locker?

This is the question that Gabi Real is trying to answer.  What she doesn't know is that, while Sal Vidon does do stage magic as a hobby, he can also do amazing things that aren't tricks at all.  Sal can conjure a dead chicken into a bully's locked locker, but he can also summon other things, up to and including his dead mother.  But at what cost?

Find out by reading Sal and Gabi Break the Universe by Carlos Hernandez and join us for discussion and activities via Zoom!

Kids entering grades 4-8 are invited to join us for a bi-weekly discussion and activity. All titles are available as both physical books and e-books. Please register ahead online using an email address, and a Zoom link will be sent the day before the event. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s e-mail address must be used to register.
