Celebrate the freedom to read by joining us for a special Banned Books Week readers theater performance by City Lit Theater, featuring excerpts from the ten most frequently challenged books in America, as compiled by the American Library Association's Office of Intellectual Freedom.

Also, as part of Chicago Public Library's citywide, all-ages celebration of the freedom to read, you're encouraged to pose with a challenged/banned book at our "selfie station," or share your thoughts about a challenged or banned book you've read and would recommend.
