Write Across Chicago Grand Celebration

4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Harold Washington Library Center

Join us for a bang-up celebration to conclude October's Write Across Chicago activities and to recognize all our many citizen-writers. After meeting and greeting in a "pre-ception," people will get to hear samples of each other's writing in small groups. Then a panel consisting of a student, a teacher, a published writer, an editor, and an appellate judge will discuss the topic, Ways Writing Can Connect People Across Chicago Neighborhoods and Cultures.

This event is a part of the Illinois Writing Project's Write Across Chicago program.

Registration is requested. Please register in advance so organizers can better plan an enjoyable evening of events.

Agenda for the evening -
4:30 - 5:30 - Pre-ception: meet and mingle with other citizen writers of all backgrounds from all over Chicago

5:45pm - 6:45pm - Small Groups: hear writing group participants share samples of their writing - and maybe even do a bit of writing on the spot!
