This is NOT about the Louvre. This is an exceedingly boring look at a few pieces in the Louvre with an art critic droning on in near ecstasy about the works. Awful.

Mostly a showcase for the artists own work - which in itself is worth a look. Not intended for a beginner, but there are some tips which are helpful.

Picturing Streisand and Redford together was hard enough in this movie. Here is a horrible, self righteous, overtly opinionated woman in love with (and rapes!) a perpetually bewildered man. She bullies him non stop until both he, and the audience is exhausted. This is a love story? Maybe back in 1973 when it was made. Redford seems a bit uncomfortable in his role at times. To say I was glad she married someone else in the end is an understatement. I couldn't stand to see those two reunite and have another round. However, the movie gets some credit for great acting because it was a stretch to see these two enjoy each others company.Picturing Streisand and Redford together was hard enough in this movie. The first 6 tracks are just an uninteresting mix of Duran Duran 80's rifs mixed with hip hop. But then you reach track 7. What are the Chances? and this is a Duran Duran masterpiece! I didn't know much about Green Day until they were under fire by MAGA for mentioning them in their song American Idiot (they changed the lyrics slightly to take a jab at them). That made me seek out this group and I got a delightful surprise with their incredible lyrics and music. Some is pure genius. I am sorry now that I missed out all these years. I am definitely not even remotely punk, but you don't need to be to appreciate Green Day. I have now listened to and purchased two of their CD's.I didn't know much about Green Day until they were under fire by MAGA for mentioning them in their song American Idiot (they changed the lyrics slightly to take a jab at them). Truly a classic that I haven't seen in years, but enjoyed thoroughly. I was in need of a break from troubles and this was a delightful romantic comedy. True it is dated, (1953 after all) but suspend all your need for perfection and realism (which we all need to do from time to time) and just have some fun. At the very least, appreciate the superb cinematography (you get to see a lot of Rome) and the charm of black and white film.Truly a classic that I haven't seen in years, but enjoyed thoroughly. Once the film settles down from constantly flashing unrelated images every half second we get to a point where we can learn something about Bowie and see some good photographs of him and snippets of interviews. If you can make it half way through without eyestrain, then you will have a more enjoyable experience of the remainder. The music is fantastic of course without the film and the songs are played in full, a bonus.Once the film settles down from constantly flashing unrelated images every half second we get to a point where we can learn something about Bowie and see some good photographs of him and snippets of interviews. Unfortunately I do not think this is anywhere near Bowie's finest. It is a cacophony of endless noise and sometimes spooky sounds. Bowie is like a kid walking through a cemetery at night hearing ghosts, (or maybe he is the ghosts) and quite terrified of his own impending death (like most of us). There are rare glimpses of the Bowie I loved, just a whisp of it and it is gone, back to banging on garbage cans, howling never ending saxophones, with Bowie's voice an endless reverb with repetitive chants. I found the album morbid and annoying and I truly wanted to enjoy the last of Bowie's work.Unfortunately I do not think this is anywhere near Bowie's finest. The history of the AR-15 is a comprehensive and sobering examination of an extremely lethal weapon. This is an art film, with long drawn out artistic shots and meaningful symbolism. It is painfully slow, and quirky, but very well acted, with a good story. I like movies where people are not Hollywood beautiful, just ordinary looking like most of us. Also, films that dwell more on the human element and story rather than meaningless non stop exhausting action and blowing everything up to smithereens. But at times, this movie could have stood a little bit more movement and a little less thoughtful conversation where you want to jump in and say the words for the actor just to get it over with. This is an art film, with long drawn out artistic shots and meaningful symbolism. Once again, another book for seniors who are: already quite healthy, financially well off, have a considerable nest egg, a home, a car and a family and able bodied friends. Superaging is for those who can afford it. You can't change a thing about old age without money, no matter how positive you try to think. Having ten year plans, taking courses, having hobbies, a side gig, employment, travel are all for the privileged. The majority of us don't have such luxuries or choices. Those who run marathons at 95 and the like are a super rarity. Take a look in the shopping malls at all the seniors hanging around with their canes and walkers, friendless and poor. There are many things that make this a highly enjoyable read. The story has flavour, an exceptionally well written history that absorbs you into the old south, welcoming you like an old friend. But after you savour the unravelling mystery, and are satisfied with the reckoning of an enigmatic musician, you are shot with the cold shock of a deeply depressed and unstable author, who spent 40 years of legal troubles and rewriting the book until it consisted of mostly fantasy. There are many things that make this a highly enjoyable read. An interesting comparison between the Beatles and James Bond and how this defined and changed the view of manhood and class structure, and ultimately, everything. A comprehensive review of TFSA's and RRSP's. Answered some questions and gave me new information. The only problem with this book, and many like it, is the information is for wealthy, married people and doesn't much address anyone else, and has unrealistic interest percentages of 10% on investments. How many of us have portfolio's over 100K and get interest rates of 10%?
